I was honored to be chosen to play in the finalists concert at Hamilton Guitar Competition. Although I ended up placing fourth, every competition is an opportunity for me to reflect on how I have improved since the last one and how I can continue to improve. I was particularly happy with my performance of two movements from Jacque Hetu’s Suite Op. 41, which I used to close my twenty-minute set. These two pieces offer a wide range of textural contrasts and moods, making them a strong addition to my competition repertoire list.
